This morning I received an email from Ellen, who reads my 17 Day Diet Blog. Her story was so inspiring that I asked her if I could post it for my blog readers to hopefully feel the same inspiration I felt when I read it.  Here it is in her exact words…

At the end of last June my husband and I started a diet. I was 212 lbs. at that time. We tried to lose the weight on our own and lost about 20 lbs. in 7 months. Our weight loss after that was stopped dead. The realization that we needed more help was obivious. We bought the “17 Day Diet” book and CD at the end of April. I am now 150 lbs.!!!That’s a total of 60 lbs. in one year. My husbband is 32 lbs. lighter. The diet and exercise has been the key for us.

I visited my cardiologist about a month ago and he said I was a model patient! He said if I continue the way I going until my next visit (6 months) that he will take me off of the blood pressure pills that I have been on for 8 years. I also have an irregular heartbeat that was moving into arrhythmia and would probably eventually need to be treated with blood thinners. He said if I stay in good shape the risk of needing medication is drastically reduced. In fact my arrhythmia has been gone ever since I lost about 15 lbs on the 17 Day Diet!

I am now going through the 2nd round of the third phase of the diet. Weight loss is much slower. I have ramped up my exercise and only about 1-3 lbs comes of in about 2 weeks. I still have 15 lbs. to my goal weight.
