Q. How Do I Travel While On Cycle 1 and Still Lose Weight?
A. Traveling while on a diet can be very tricky for some. For others, it’s just about getting organized prior to your trip, sticking to your game plan, and always remember “moderation” is key.
There’s a wide variety of approved veggies for Cycle 1 that can be packed room temperature or in a small cooler. For instance, carrot sticks are a perfect snack to munch on while traveling long distance. Tired of carrots? Opt for sliced cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, or even sliced bell peppers. Snack on apple slices before 2pm to reduce hunger or sugar cravings.
You can even go one step further and cook plenty of chicken tenders (smaller-sized chicken strips perfect for munching on) and keep them cold for the road.
When dining out on the road, remember that moderation is key. Order plenty of protein and approved cleansing vegetables and as long as you lay off carbs, you’ll do just fine.
What happens if you cheat while on vacation? Pick yourself right back up when you arrive home. Remember, it’s not the end of the world if you can’t keep yourself motivated while away from home.
Dieting is tough– even more so while on vacation. All you can do is try your hardest. Remember, don’t beat yourself up if you can’t stick to your plan 100% while traveling. There’s always tomorrow.

I have found that planning ahead works best. If you have the time to research some nutritional information on any chain food restaurants you may be going to and knowing the best options before you get there is a huge help! In a pinch order a salad stripped down of all the fattening stuff. Salad dressing fat content can be a shocker! Take your own if you have access to a refrigerator or cooler. Eat your fruit on the beach, there’s not much better than orange slices when you’re hot! Lots of water too!
