Faux Chocolate Pudding for the 17 Day Diet

Here’s a Faux Chocolate Pudding recipe posted by a 17 Day Diet Blog reader.

If you’re looking for a sweet treat without all the guilt, this is the perfect chocolaty guilt-free pleasure. If you’re a chocolate lover like me, make sure you also check out my Chocolate Chia Pudding (perfect for Cycle 3).

You likely have all the ingredients on hand. If you don’t, get to the store STAT!

First, you’ll start with creamy Greek Yogurt – this can be a part of your probiotic serving for the day – you’re killing two birds with one stone. YIPPEE!!

Plus, this is a better-for-you dessert you can serve during the summer months when you want something that’s guilt-free, so make sure you add it to your Summer BBQ recipe ideas list!

Greek Yogurt is the base for this healthy faux pudding

Next, reach deep into your kitchen cupboard and grab that old container of unsweetened cocoa powder.

You know what I’m talking about! The kind you used a few years ago to make that chocolate frosting!

Add in a bit of approved sweetener, mix well and you have yourself a healthy pudding dessert.

If you’re eating this during the day and you’re sticking to the no fruit after 2pm rule, then top with your favorite low-sugar berries such as raspberries, blackberries, strawberries or blueberries!

Otherwise, if you’re feasting on this during the evening, then it’s best to skip the fruit (although a few berries probably won’t hurt).

        • Hi Robin, I’m glad it’s helped you! Not every single food item that is acceptable will be on the Cycle lists. If they were, the lists would be miles long. You need to use your judgement and know that if a natural type of condiment, spice, food item, etc., has no added sugar and is low to no carbs, then it’s likely OK.
