If you’re looking for healthy plant-based homemade soft serve ice cream without the guilt, look no further! This Banana Protein “Nice” Cream is a super easy recipe with five ingredients and it doesn’t take all day long to churn like traditional ice cream!

This Banana Protein Nice Cream recipe is a healthy version of your classic favorite and can be enjoyed on both the 17 Day Diet and the 17 Day Kickstart Diet.

Banana Protein Nice Cream Ingredients
Like I mentioned, this recipe is super easy AND quick and only has 5 ingredients. Here’s a quick rundown of what you’ll need:
- Bananas
- Yogurt
- Protein Powder
- Cinnamon
- Berries as topping
This Banana Protein Nice Cream is intended as a “soft serve” recipe, but you can certainly place the blended dessert back in the freezer and allow it to harden if you prefer a different consistency.
Flavor Add Ins for Banana Protein Nice Cream
This Banana Protein Nice Cream is super versatile, too!
If you want to switch up the flavors, it’s super easy to do. Here are a few examples of the different creations you can make with this base recipe:
- Chocolate Flavored Protein Powder
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (if you don’t have flavored protein powder)
- Peanut Butter or any nut butter (add 1 to 2 Tablespoons depending on your preference)
- Blend different fruits into the recipe (rather than topping)
Banana Protein Nice Cream for the 17 Day Diet
This recipe can be used as-is during Cycle 3 of the original 17 Day Diet.
Since it is made with fruit, make sure you enjoy this before 2pm. And yes, you can have “dessert” during the day!

Banana Protein Nice Cream for the 17 Day Kickstart Diet
This Banana Protein Nice Cream can also be enjoyed during the 10-Day Stabilize Phase of the 17 Day Kickstart Diet without any changes made. Like the original diet, you’ll also need to make sure you eat this before 2pm.
If you want to enjoy this recipe in an earlier phase, you’ll want to make sure you use a plant based yogurt (such as coconut or soy) in the 4-Day Soak Up Phase. And yes, bananas are allowed during the Soak Up Phase!
Unfortunately, bananas are not allowed during the 3-Day Scrub Phase, so you’ll need to hold off until at least day 4 of the Kickstart Diet!

Banana Protein Nice Cream
When you want something sweet, but don't want all the guilt, try nature's sweet treat - bananas! This healthy Banana Protein "Nice" Cream is a healthy dessert that's perfect any time of year!
Ingredients
- 2 medium bananas, sliced, frozen
- 4 tbsp. vanilla or plain yogurt
- 1 scoop vanilla whey or pea protein
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- berries, to serve
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a food processor or highspeed
blender and blitz until smooth and creamy,
about 2-3 minutes. - Divide between two bowls, top with berries and enjoy.
- If you prefer this soft-serve Nice Cream to be more of a hard ice cream, pop it in the freezer for a few hours.
